Jennifer, I love this. One of my recurring dreams is that I'm living in a house and realize there's a whole wing, or several cozy rooms that I've never known about. Somehow, there's a door that I always assumed was a closet and I open it, almost by accident, and it leads to a hallway, or staircase, or beautiful conservatory. Thank you for today's kindling, for the beauty of this space and the integrity of what you're offering❣️
I think allowing a space to tend to ourselves is so important, in the ‘right now’ during the trauma or chaos. It ends up being the actual medicine to keep us living and well. This is so inviting, Jennifer🫶🏼 Feel like I just took a walk in the gorgeous woods💛
Thank you so much for reading Laura and for your kind words. I’m so glad that part resonated with you, it means so much to know it met you where you are. There’s such quiet weight in holding things together that haven’t had space to be released. I hope you know you’re not carrying it alone. I’m so honored to have you here.
I find journalling helps, and fresh air and movement (preferably a combination of all three) but it can feel stuck if those things aren’t readily accessible
Yes, I feel that too. Agree, those three things help me too! Those rhythms can make such a difference, and when they’re not available, it’s easy to feel everything tighten. I think there’s something really honest in naming that. Just knowing someone else feels it too somehow makes it a little lighter.
A lovely, emotive piece to read, Jennifer. What does Beyond the Embers offer those in a cosy seat beside the fire. A co-writing space? Some kind of dialogue or prompt to engage with? Or a space to share work and/or discuss stuff?
Eeeeekkk the dream is finally coming true!!
I'm intrigued! Can't wait to learn more!
Thanks friend! I think you will really enjoy it!

I really enjoy your beautiful descriptions Jennifer, and the part about having to keep it all in and hold it together resonated with me
