Here’s to you, 2024–

2024, you hold the threshold of the unknowns ahead yet you carry a canvas of new beginnings. As I sit with a blank page in front of me you remind me to look to the things which are unseen, those which are eternal. May you unfold like the pages of a truly good book, one that captivates, connects, and takes me along. 

While the newness of this year begins to set in, there is a stirring in my heart to keep an eternal perspective in the everyday moments. I want to be propelled into the truth that the Lord will always lead the way forward, satisfy in a parched land, and provide the strength needed.

2024, you hold many questions, things to ponder, and ideas to press into. You hold new opportunities, fresh perspectives, and refinement. You ignite a spark of wonder and gratitude to embrace each day.

Here’s to you, 2024–

What if the desolate places are stepping stones toward His intended path?

What if the rugged terrain is meant to propel me into a deeper dependence on Him?

When the trials take hold, and the trails seem riddled with boulders, falling rock, and sinking sand, I will do the only thing I know, surrender it all to Him. 

When endurance tapers off, the grief catching up, and despair tries to blur my vision, I know it is here that His power unfolds.

What if I look at 2024 through a lens of faith instead of unbelief ?⁣ What if I plunge right into God’s promises? What if I place my hope in Him over the conditions?⁣ ⁣

Here’s to you, 2024. 

My faith in Him equips me, fills me and nourishes me! God is with me, so whatever is thrown my way 2024, I will keep going, His way forward.  ⁣

Here’s to you, 2024–

Even when His way is longer or more rugged, His way is better. His way outweighs any conditions because in the midst of it we are with Him.. When we pass through the waters, He will be with us; through the rivers, we shall not be overwhelmed. When we walk through the fire, we shall not be burned and the flame shall not consume us. For He is the Lord our God, and surely He is in this place. May we surrender the plan, the path, and the pace to him, and step into an eternal perspective. Trusting that we will look upon the goodness of the Lord in this relentless pursuit of him. God take me where you want me to go.

What our eyes are fixed on is what will lead the way forth. ⁣

What our heart is set on determines the path of the trail.⁣

What our mind focuses on is what we will pursue. ⁣

⁣My deep need for Him is revealed as I sift through these thoughts:

The way forth is led by Him alone. ⁣

The path of the trail is set to His ways.⁣

The pursuit progresses by faith in Him.⁣

⁣It is here that I am reminded day after day to live by faith—my eyes fixed on Him, my heart solely with Him, my mind relentless after Him. Wherever I am going, only He can take me there. He is the only answer I need.

A toast to you, 2024.

To the Lord

To prayer

To the moments 

To the lessons

To the opportunities 

To endurance

To weakness

2024 is yours, God, and I will cling to you. May your light shine, Lord – leading me each step of the way. May you guide me continually. May you satisfy me when the droughts have me parched. May you build anew in the wilderness, wastelands, and in the ordinary. No matter what, I know that because you are good, God, I do not hope in the new year, but in you alone. 

⁣Here’s to you 2024– His ways forward.
